Meet Clyde Tumulak
TuMu Smart started with a simple idea: what if a home could actually think for you?
I've always been interested in technology, but what really drew me to smart homes was seeing how the right technology can quietly make everyday life easier. Lights that respond when you need them, security you can check even when you're away, air-conditioning that works around your routine, and a home that can take care of small things without constantly asking for your attention.
Building my own smart home became the way I learned what actually works—and what doesn't. I experimented with different devices, automation, security systems, sensors, dashboards, and ways to bring everything together. Over time, I realized that a smart home shouldn't be about filling a house with gadgets. It should be about making the home itself more useful.
That became the idea behind TuMu Smart.
I want to bring that same approach to homes in Cebu and elsewhere in the Philippines: technology that is practical, thoughtfully installed, and designed around the way Filipino families actually live. Whenever possible, I prefer systems that can continue working locally rather than depending completely on an internet connection or a single manufacturer's cloud.
I'm building TuMu Smart as a hands-on, founder-led business where I can personally understand each home, recommend what actually makes sense, and help make sure the system continues to work after installation.
